Killing Monster Y for Lasy sod Z

Well yeah, I finally decided to get World of Warcraft. I'd put it off for ages because i don't really like the idea of paying for a game, then paying every month to play it, but as i'm already doing that with XBox live i thought why not?

I have played other MMORPG's before, such as Guild Wars, Archlord, and Final Fantasy XI (final fantasy did piss me off some what at how hard it was to level up on it and it's WIDE open spaces, but still looked nice).

This has obviously been said before but shut up it's my turn now but I can see why people do say that other MMORPG's steal ideas from World of Warcraft and vice versa because all 4 do have similarites. THAT I might add doesnt make them bad, on the contraversy it means you dont have to sit on the toilet for an hour reading the manual before you play it, of course there is going to be some differences in controls that you may need a quick glance at the book but most of the time it's so significant you would find out quicker by asking the already playing - WHICH i will address in a minute.

so to sum up world of warcraft using the 3 other fine MUMORPUGER's i've played, I'll say this:
  • It's has guild wars quickish level up system (from completeing quests and that), close distance towns that you could run to and not die half way there
  • archlords personal character race jobs and mounts
  • Final Fantasy's sub professions like cooking, fishing etc
There doesnt seem to be much emphasis on group work as there is in Guild Wars, but i'm not that far yet so that may change.

What has annoyed me about world of warcraft are the players.
The first time i played the game i chose a human mage and before i'd even moved i was challenged to a duel by someone 4 levels above my own, when i declind he tryed again another 3 times before issuing insaults. Now being as i was a new player, this was not the first expereince of playing this game that i have pay for for the next 2 months, that i wanted. Not knowing how to reply back to the dick (I didn't need the toilet), i logged out and chaged my alleigence to the Horde. If anyother Alliance people were going to be like this twat i thought i'd get out before i'd get anywere. Bere in mind this was an RP server, so i wanted to RP not fight with people who wanted easy wins.

So my little blood elf was born, and it was completly different, here's me thinking Horde are the bad guys, and alliance good guys. To prove it i asked some newbie questions and they were answerd by at least 5 people giving decent information.
This was one of the first things i saw while playing as my blood elf:

Had fire works and everything, well i guess i've ranted enough. I'll show more cool pictures later.

Plus my jeans felt looser.
